§ 50.05 METER SIZE.
   One five-eighths-inch meter, designed to supply 1,000 gallons per hour to the premises, shall be furnished by the village, without charge to each consumer. When a consumer desires to regularly use larger quantities of water than can be supplied through a five-eighths-inch meter, he or she shall pay the cost of the larger meter. In no case shall a meter be installed of larger size than the existing water service pipe. All meters when installed shall become and remain the property of the village.
