The duties of the superintendent of public works shall be as follows:
A. To supervise the operation of the department.
B. To enforce the provisions of this code and perform such other and further duties as may be assigned to him by the mayor.
C. To make a complete and adequate report on the first day of each month on matters pertaining to the department.
D. To propose rules and regulations necessary to carry out the provisions of this code for the approval of the mayor and council. Such rules and regulations when approved, shall be kept on file in the office of the clerk. (1961 Code)
