For the purpose of this chapter, flammable liquids are classified as follows:
Class I: Liquids having a flash point below twenty five degrees Fahrenheit (25°F) closed cup tester. Example: ether, gasoline, naphtha and benzol.
Class II: Liquids having a flash point above that for class I and below seventy degrees Fahrenheit (70°F) closed cup tester. Example: alcohol and amyl acetate.
Class III: Liquids having a flash point above that for class II and below one hundred eighty seven degrees Fahrenheit (187°F) closed cup tester. Example: kerosene and fuel oil. (1961 Code)
