The term photographer in this chapter shall include any person, firm or corporation engaged in the business of taking pictures or views by or with photographic equipment whether said business is carried on as a sideline to the sale of merchandise other than pictures or solely carried on for the purpose of dealing in pictures. It shall also include persons engaged in the business of engraving, retouching or reconditioning photographs. (Ord. 268, 2-7-1973)
A "transient photographer", for the purpose of this chapter, is hereby defined as any itinerant photographer, picture or view taker, coupon salesman, enlargement solicitor or canvasser therefor, not residing in and/or conducting said business in said city for a period of at least one full calendar month, after which he is considered a resident photographer and shall be entitled to the rights and privileges thereof, and a refund of all money in excess of the regular resident photographer fees. The license fee for any transient person, firm or corporation carrying on the business of photography in the city, shall be ten dollars ($10.00) per day for each and every person engaged in, assisting, soliciting, touching up, or in any way connected with such business. Providing however, that when any person, firm or corporation shall buy, purchase, or in any legal way acquire a legally established business within the city he shall be entitled to resident license rates immediately.
