A. Officers:
1. At its regular meeting in January of each even numbered year, the commission shall, by majority vote of its membership (excluding vacant seats), elect one of the members to serve as chairperson and preside over the commission's meetings and one member to serve as vice chairperson. The commission may create and fill any other office that it may deem necessary in a like manner.
2. The officers so designated shall serve in these capacities for two (2) year terms.
B. Quorum:
1. A quorum for the planning and zoning commission shall consist of a majority of the commission membership (excluding vacant seats). Those members abstaining or disqualifying but remaining present shall be counted for the purpose of determining a quorum.
2. No business shall be conducted nor information accepted unless a quorum is present.
3. In the event of a lack of quorum, the commissioners present may reschedule the meeting to a future date certain and time by a motion and vote. (Ord. 561, 7-10-2013)
