Members of the planning and zoning commission may be removed from the commission in the following manner:
A. Members of the commission may be removed by a majority vote of the city council.
B. The chairman of the planning and zoning commission may recommend to the city council that a member be removed for cause. "Cause" shall constitute missing at least thirty percent (30%) of the regularly scheduled meetings of the commission over any consecutive twelve (12) month period or a wilful disregard of planning and zoning commission rules and procedures. Such recommendation shall be based upon a majority vote of the commission.
C. Upon request of the member proposed for removal, the council shall hold a hearing on the removal before it becomes effective. (Ord. 561, 7-10-2013)
