Whoever violates this chapter is guilty of a misdemeanor of the fourth degree and shall be fined not more than $250 or imprisoned not more than 30 days, or both. A separate offense shall be deemed committed for each rental vehicle for which the vehicle license fee provided for in this chapter remains unpaid.
