§ 96.08 OVERNIGHT TENT CAMPING.
   (A)   At any place outside a designated camping area within the limits of the village, it shall be permissible for bona fide guests of the householder to engage in overnight camping by setting up tents behind the front set back line of a home for a period of time not to exceed 10 days in any 30 day period. However, during that time the tent shall be used for sleeping purposes and the occupants shall have occasion to and shall use the cooking and toilet facilities of the dwelling house.
   (B)   No person shall engage in overnight tent camping on vacant property except in designated camping areas, unless the person, firm or corporation obtains a permit from the governing body of the village to do so and pays a fee of $25 per unit for a four-day period or less. Any person, firm, corporation, or any other group that requests a permit for overnight tent camping on vacant property shall file a written application stating the name and address of the applicant, the number of tents to be used, and the name of the property owner along with an address or description of the location of the property to be used.
