§ 51.04 DELINQUENT PAYMENT AND LATE CHARGES.
   (A)    If any bill is not paid in full on or before the expiration of the 30-day payment period, the unpaid portion shall draw a late payment charge of 10%, which charge shall be added to the bill and become a part thereof. Late bills will be mailed by the third business day after the original due date (the date of the late bill is the “late bill date”), and the late bills will have a due date of 15 days after the “late bill date”. If any bill or any portion thereof, shall remain unpaid 20 days after the “late bill date”, a misdemeanor citation will be issued. The Transfer Station Committee has the authority to waive all or part of the late fees assessed upon written request from the customer stating the reason for the requested waiver.
   (B)   At the March 14, 1998 regular Council meeting, Council granted amnesty to all accounts bearing a late charge upon either payment of the outstanding availability fees or submission of the required proof of exception. This one-time amnesty period expired on May 5, 1998.
