(A) Any village employee whose salary or compensation is fixed by Council and who is entitled to accumulate leave credits may, if he or she desires, contribute accrued, but unused leave credits to the account of any village employee who is afflicted with a serious illness or injury, or who has a family member who is afflicted with a serious illness or injury, and has, or is likely to, exhaust the sick leave credits to which he is entitled by the applicable ordinance or regulation.
(B) The Administration Committee shall be authorized and directed to adopt a policy relative to the donation of leave and present it to council for approval and insertion in the Personnel Manual.
