(A) The following employee positions shall be established within the village government:

(B) Council may from time to time determine how many individuals are necessary for each position. In addition, full and part-time positions may be filled by one person or more than one person (on a job share basis) providing the cumulative hours do not exceed those identified in the position description.
(C) As used in this section:
FULL-TIME. The position works 40 hours per week (except police officers).
PART-TIME. The position works less than a 40-hour work week (except police officers).
SEASONAL. Employed for less than 12 months in a calendar year.
HYBRID. A combination of mixing a full-time and part-time schedule dependent upon the season.
FULL-TIME POLICE OFFICER. The position works 171 hours per 28-day cycle as permitted by the Fair Labor Standards Act.
PART-TIME POLICE OFFICER. The position works less than 86 hours per two week period.
