§ 174.21 LIVESTOCK IN VILLAGE.
   (A)   Livestock within the village.
      (1)   Certain prohibitions. Except as otherwise provided in this subchapter, no person shall keep within the village any livestock, as defined herein.
      (2)   Exceptions.
         (a)   The prohibition against livestock within the village limits shall not apply to the following animals, for personal use only: ducks, geese, turkeys, quail, other fowl, rabbits, goats and sheep. No person shall have more than a reasonable amount for personal use of each species of animal at any one time, including domestic pets. Any such animals for personal use shall be kept in an enclosure that is located no closer than five feet to the property line.
         (b)   This division (A) shall not apply in areas of the village that are zoned agricultural in nature nor shall this section apply to livestock brought in to the village for the purpose of being shipped out of the village.
   (B)   Pot bellied pigs. A resident of the village may keep one pot bellied pig that is registered through the Pot Bellied Pig Association as a household pet; provided the pot bellied pig is inoculated in accordance with current veterinary standards and all requirements for proper restraint, as defined in this subchapter, are met. Other than a registered pot-bellied pig, there shall be no swine within the village limits.
