The purpose of this subchapter is to facilitate the full and thorough consideration by the town of all subdivision application, unless the subdivision qualifies as a minor subdivision, as contained herein, ensuring the protection of the public health, welfare and safety of existing and future town residents, providing efficient procedures for subdivision applications, providing for procedures and requirements consistent with engineering, surveying and recordation practices and providing for compliance with applicable local, state and federal laws.
