Sec. 3-127.  Special Event Inspections:
   (a)   It shall be the duty of the building commissioner or his or her designee to see that special events with all amenities, are inspected by the appropriate village inspector(s). Amenities subject to village inspection include but arc not limited to the following:
      (1)   Booths, canopies, tents, outdoor stages and platforms shall be inspected by a village building inspector prior to their use at any special event. Inspections shall be made in accordance with regulations of the Illinois Office of State Fire Marshal, Fire Investigation Act, 425 ILCS 25/9, Title 41 Illinois Administrative Code, Part 107 Outdoor Stages and the International Building Code as adopted by the village in this code. Inspection fees are set forth in section 13-1 of this code and shall be paid by the special event operator.
      (2)   Electrical generation from any source at a special event, shall be inspected by a village electrical inspector prior to the use of temporary electrical installations, underground or overhead wires and apparatus, generator connections, and all other electric related issues not specifically provide for herein, according to the City of Chicago Electrical Code as adopted by the village in this code. Inspection fees are set forth in section 1.3-1 of this code and shall be paid by the special event operator.
      (3)   Temporary potable water connections, meters, and backflow devices; locations of temporary toilet and hand washing facilities; and all other plumbing related issues shall be inspected by a village plumbing inspector prior to their use at any special event. Inspections shall be made in accordance with the City of Chicago Plumbing Code as adopted by the village in this code. Inspection fees are set forth in section 13-1 of this code and shall be paid by the special event operator.
      (4)   Temporary food service establishments and all other health and sanitation related issues shall be inspected by the village health inspector, each and every day the event is in operation. Temporary food service establishment booths not staffed by a certified food supervisor that are able to prove their identity, will be closed. Inspections shall be in accordance section 5-62 of this code. Inspection fees are set forth in section 13-1 of this code and shall be paid by the special event operator.
