(a) It shall be unlawful to conduct or operate any special event within the limits of the village of Justice, which is open to the public, without having first secured a license therefor.
(b) Applications for such licenses shall be made to the municipal services administrator. All information as requested in the application shall be provided, including but not limited to, the name of the sponsor; type of event; date and times of the event; name, address, phone number of the contact person; the address of the event; a signature of a responsible party; description of the event and a list and description of amenities including a list of all temporary food service establishments.
(c) All completed applications, with the appropriate documentation and fees attached, shall be filed in the office of the municipal services administrator,
no later than three (3) weeks prior to the event. Late entries shall be handled on a case by case basis. The village president’s approval or denial shall be final.
(d) The municipal services administrator shall notify the village president, board of trustees, and all appropriate department heads upon receiving a completed special events application.
(e) The license fee shall be as set forth in section 13-1 of this code. License fees, can be exempt for operators who have Illinois not for profit status and are using the event for fundraising. A license must still be obtained and all regulations set forth in this code complied with. Final determination for waiving of any special event license fees shall be made by the village president.
