§ 92.09 DISPOSITION OF UNCLAIMED ANIMALS.
   (A)   Any animal which is not redeemed within the time specified in the notice provided by § 92.08 may be sold for not less than the amount required by § 92.08 for redemption to anyone desiring to purchase the animal if it is not requested by a licensed, educational or scientific institution under M.S. § 35.71.
   (B)   All sums received in addition to the fees fixed by § 92.08 shall be paid to the owner if he or she makes a claim within 1 year of the sale and furnishes satisfactory proof of ownership.
   (C)   Any animal which is not claimed by the owner or sold shall be painlessly disposed of by the pound master.
