The Board of Public Works and Safety for the city may exempt from the provisions of this subchapter the use of golf carts, utility task vehicles, or other vehicles as described in the definition of “side by side” in § 72.01
, in favor of public safety personnel, and street/utility personnel. During special events, the participants should be identified as such and each individual must provide proof of insurance and a valid driver’s license before being allowed to operate a golf cart, utility task vehicle, or other vehicles as described in the definition of “side by side” in § 72.01
during such event as approved by the police.
