The county operates and maintains numerous sites throughout the county for the convenience of its residents to dispose of their household waste. These sites are equipped with containers for household waste and recyclable materials. All users disposing of solid waste are required to display a valid solid waste disposal decal on the windshield of the vehicle transporting the garbage. Users disposing of acceptable recyclable materials are not required to possess a solid waste decal. The utility director shall develop a written operating policy for the container sites. This policy will be adopted by the board of commissioners and may change from time to time by approval of the board.
