Sec. 2-31. - Residency and representation requirements; terms.
   (a)   County commissioners shall reside in and represent the following districts:
   District 1. Wilders and O'Neals Townships and the portion of Beulah Township in North Beulah precinct.
   District 2. Selma and Micro Townships and the portion of Beulah Township in South Beulah precinct.
   District 3. Boon Hill, Bentonville and Ingrams Townships.
   District 4. Meadow, Banner and Pleasant Grove Townships and the portion of Elevation Township in South Elevation precinct.
   District 5. Cleveland Township, the portion of Elevation Township in North Elevation precinct, and the portion of Smithfield Township in South and East Smithfield precincts.
   District 6. Wilson's Mills and Pine Level Townships and the portion of Smithfield Township in North Smithfield precinct.
   District 7. Clayton Township.
   (b)   One commissioner shall be elected to represent each of the seven districts. A person must reside in a district to be eligible to be a candidate to represent that district, however, all seven offices shall be voted upon by all eligible voters of the county in both the primary and general election.
   (c)   Commissioners shall be elected for four-year staggered terms.
