§ 34.020 DEPARTMENT ESTABLISHED.

There is hereby established a department of the municipal government of the city, which shall be known as the Police Department. The Police Department shall consist of the Chief of Police and of such other officers and patrol officers as may be provided from time to time by the City Council. The Department shall be under the supervision of the Board of Police and Fire Commissioners.
