§ 32.29 APPOINTMENT OF OFFICERS, MEMBERS, AND CHIEFS.
   In accordance with the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/10-2.1-4 of the Illinois Municipal Code, the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners shall appoint all full-time officers and members of the Fire and Police Departments of the city, except that the Chief of Police and the Fire Chief shall be appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the City Council.
