12-3-2: BLOCKS:
   A.   Length; Crosswalks: The maximum length of a block shall be one thousand five hundred feet (1,500'). Blocks over eight hundred feet (800') in length may require crosswalks. Crosswalk easements not less than ten feet (10') in width shall be provided where deemed necessary by the planning and zoning board at the approximate centers of the blocks. The use of additional crosswalks in any instance to provide safe and convenient access to schools, parks or other similar destinations may be recommended by the planning and zoning board.    B.   Shape: There is no specific rule concerning the shape of blocks, but blocks shall fit easily into the overall plan of the subdivision, and their design must evidence consideration of lot planning, traffic flow and public areas. (1996 Code § 26-84)
   C.   Commercial And Industrial Uses: Blocks intended for commercial and industrial use shall be designated as such, and the plan shall show adequate off street areas to provide for parking, loading docks and such other facilities that may be required to accommodate motor vehicles.
