2-1-1: TERMINATION OF BOARD OR COMMISSION MEMBERS:
   A.   All members of boards and commissions appointed by the city council shall be terminated as a member of the board or commission upon the happening of either of the following events:
      1.   Absence from two (2) successive regularly or specially scheduled meetings of the board or commission to which he or she was appointed during one calendar year without consent or approval of the chair of the board or commission to which he or she was appointed.
      2.   Absence from a total of three (3) regularly or specially scheduled meetings of the board or commission to which he or she was appointed during one calendar year without consent or approval of the chair of the board or commission to which he or she was appointed.
   B.   The missing of meetings as set out in this section shall constitute automatic termination of said board or commission member's tenure as board or commission member, and a vacancy shall be deemed to exist on said board or commission which shall be filled by the city council as in all other cases where a vacancy exists.
