A. Pursuant to agreement with the county, the city hereby adopts authority and control over the area within one and one-half (11/2) miles of the city limits for purposes of issuing building permits and building code and nuisance code enforcement, and receiving all fines, penalties, fees, costs, and expenses in relation to the exercise of such authority.
B. The city will enforce all county building codes previously adopted on June 10, 2008, as county code of ordinances 1, and the county nuisance code which is part 4 of said ordinance 1, as amended by part 4, chapter 1, section 103.5, "Jersey County Fee Schedule", chapter 1, "Regulating Nuisances" only, previously adopted on October 14, 2008, official copies of which are on file with the city clerk; provided, however, that all references in said ordinances to "county code administrator" are hereby replaced by "city building official", all references to "Jersey County state's attorney" are hereby replaced by "city attorney", and references to the "county" having access to all remedies and receiving all fines, penalties, fees, costs, or expenses shall be changed to the "city", and said fines and all other monies received shall go into the city general fund.
C. The one and one-half (11/2) mile limit shall be as shown on the official city map, as adopted with the city comprehensive plan on file with the city clerk, and as further revised in the future resulting from any annexation of land into the city limits. (Ord. 1528, 12-16-2008)
