A certain document, one copy of which is and has been on file in the office of the city clerk for more than thirty (30) days prior to the effective date hereof, being marked and designated as the national electrical code (NFPA 70), 2005 edition, published by the National Fire Protection Association, is hereby adopted as the electrical code of the city for regulating and governing the construction and alteration of electrical wiring and apparatus in the construction and alteration of all buildings or other structures in the city as herein provided, and each and all of the regulations, provisions, conditions, and terms of said electrical code on file in the office of the city clerk are hereby referred to, adopted, and made a part hereof as if fully set out in this chapter.
