9-4-4: SEWER TAPS AND FEES:
   A.   Fees Established: The city clerk shall have on file the most recent ordinance setting forth the current residential sewer tap- on fees. (1996 Code § 30-106)
   B.   Payment Of Fees: A sewer tap-on fee for a residential, commercial or industrial building sewer permit shall be paid a minimum of thirty (30) days before the sewer tap is made. (Ord. 1242, 7-14-1998)
   C.   New Taps:
      1.   In lieu of the current established new tap fees, the fee for an existing sewer tap shall be charged and the owner provides all labor, material and equipment to install the service lateral from the existing sewer main.
      2.   The owner shall have all work performed by an approved contractor that has on record with the city current liability insurance and builder's risk insurance, naming the city as additional insured, for work performed on public rights of way.
      3.   The contractor shall expose the sewer main allowing sufficient work area and properly cut or shored for city workers to safely perform the tap to the sewer main. The installed service shall remain open to inspection from the main to the property line until such time that the service can be inspected by a representative of the city.
      4.   When required, a street opening permit shall be obtained by the owner, and all requirements of this permit shall remain in effect 1 .
      5.   This exception to the current established new tap fee structure shall not be allowed on main extensions installed with service taps at the time of main construction. New subdivision taps are to remain unchanged.
   D.   Taps Outside City: For sewer taps outside the city limits, all of the above apply. (Ord. 1340, 5-29-2001; amd. 2010 Code)
