8-2-1: PERMIT REQUIRED; PENALTY FOR FAILURE TO OBTAIN:

It shall be unlawful for any person to make an excavation in a city street without first obtaining a permit therefor as provided in this chapter. Failure to obtain a permit as required may be punishable by a fine of up to two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) per day for each day the violation continues. (1996 Code § 25-19; amd. 2010 Code)
