Any territory annexed to the corporate limits of Jay, Oklahoma, subsequent to the effective date hereof will be within the jurisdiction of these regulations and will, upon annexation, be zoned as R-1 single-family residential, unless otherwise classified by the city council. Within six (6) months after the effective date of such annexation, the city council shall, in accordance with 11 Oklahoma Statutes sections 43-101 through 43-109 and these regulations, rezone said annexed territory in keeping with the comprehensive plan.
