(A) It shall be the duty of the Chief of Police, if he or she finds any violation of this subchapter, to immediately notify by United States registered or certified mail, return receipt requested, any person who is the owner, tenant, lessee, or otherwise in control of such premises to comply with the provisions of this subchapter within seven days from the date the notice is received.
(B) If the person given notice fails to comply as set forth in § 91.17, the Chief of Police shall arrest such person notified or file affidavit.
