133.04 VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTERS; TRAINING; COMPENSATION.
   (a)   Each firefighter shall be required to complete successfully the training program and State examination as required by the Ohio Department of Public Safety, Division of EMS.
   (b)    The City will pay for physical examinations to be administered by a medical facility as determined by the City. Firefighters will reimburse the City for the medical examination expense if he or she fails to complete his or her probationary period.
   (c)   Firefighters and auxiliary who responds to the scene of a fire call or a scheduled event are otherwise eligible, will receive a stipend of thirty dollars ($30.00). Award of stipends will be determined by the Chief, Assistant Chief, or their designee. Members must be present for the full event or until approval to leave is given by the Chief, Assistant Chief, or their designee.
   (d)   Each member will also be required to perform other duties which involve the maintenance and operation of the Fire Department. These duties will include truck maintenance, building maintenance, equipment maintenance and hydrant checking, as well as other duties determined by the Fire Chief.
   (e)   Training Opportunities. Members may be compensated for State level training at the following rate:

$600.00
   Additional training opportunities may be available dependent on availability of funds and upon approval of the Fire Chief and the Safety/Service Director.
