§ 37.51 UNIFORM.
   (A)   The Chief of Police shall designate the nature and requirements of the uniforms worn by police officers.
   (B)   Every member of the Department shall keep his or her clothing or uniform in good repair. When wearing Class A uniforms, every member of the Department shall keep his or her uniform cleaned and pressed; and his or her shoes shined and conforming to departmental policy. Class B uniforms will be kept in good repair and worn pursuant to the requirements set forth by departmental policy.
   (B)   Every officer will wear their uniform buttoned or fastened while in public view. While in uniform, officers will wear their uniforms completed and not in a piecemeal fashion; (badges not affixed, ties off and the like) and according to departmental policy.
   (C)   No member of the Department may wear identifiable parts of their uniform clothing with civilian dress with the exception of the baseball cap. No part of the uniform may be worn while the officer is on suspension.
