§ 36.182 JURY DUTY AND COURT-ORDERED APPEARANCES.
   (A)   The city encourages employees to fulfill their obligation as citizens when called to serve jury duty or to comply with a court or administrative subpoena. An employee that is required to attend jury duty or comply with a court or administrative subpoena during his or her regular working hours at the city will be paid his or her full salary for the period of such service.
   (B)   An employee involved in litigation or court proceedings as a plaintiff or petitioner and who is not appearing before the court because of a duly issued subpoena will not be eligible for the paid leave provided under the provisions of this policy but may be permitted to use annual or compensatory leave time for such absences as provided in §§ 36.170 through 36.185.
   (C)   The employee must provide a copy of the summons or subpoena to his or her immediate supervisor as soon as possible after receiving such notice.
   (D)   The employee will submit an Absentee Request Form in accordance with §§ 36.170 through 36.185 showing the dates and times out of the office necessitated by the employee’s service required by the court.
   (E)   Any employee excused by the court during his or her normal working hours will contact his or her supervisor to determine if he or she will be required to work the remainder of his or her normal work schedule.
