   (A)   While the city encourages amicable relationships between employees, it recognizes that involvement in a romantic relationship may compromise or create a perception that compromises an employee’s ability to perform his or her job. Any involvement of a romantic nature between an employee and his or her supervisor is prohibited. Violation of this policy will lead to corrective action up to and including termination of the individuals involved.
   (B)   Any concerns an employee has in a dating relationship with a coworker may be brought to the attention of the Mayor or any supervisor in which the employee feels comfortable. The supervisor and employee should follow the guidance in the sexual and nonsexual harassment policy within § 36.061 and/or the protection against retaliation for city employees within § 36.065.
