§ 36.020 AT-WILL EMPLOYMENT.
   All city employees are at-will employees. There is no contract of employment, express or implied, and either the city or the employee is free to terminate the employment relationship at any time with or without cause. The city’s at-will employment policy will only be varied by a specific written agreement that is entered into and signed by the Mayor and an individual employee. Therefore, nothing contained in this handbook, or any other document provided to the employee, will be relied upon or interpreted to form a contract binding upon the city regarding any benefit, policy, procedure or other term or condition of employment.
