The International Property Maintenance Code, as adopted in Section 1460.01, is hereby amended as follows:
(a) Section 101.1. Insert: “City of Ionia, Michigan.”
(b) Section 103.5. Insert: “Fees. The fees for activities and services performed by the City in carrying out its responsibilities under this Code shall be as set forth in Chapter 214 of the Administration Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Ionia (the General Fee Schedule), or as otherwise provided by Council from time to time.”
(c) Section 112.4. Insert: “Any person who shall continue any work after having been served with a stop work order, except such work as that person is directed to perform to remove a violation or unsafe condition, shall be liable for a fine of not less than $100.00 or more than $500.00.”
(d) Section 302.4. Insert: “All premises and exterior property shall be maintained free from grass, weeds or undergrowth higher or longer than eight inches subject to the following exceptions:
(1) On portions of undeveloped property behind a wooded tree line.
(2) On portions of undeveloped lands more than 25 feet from a public sidewalk or street open to the public.
(3) On portions of undeveloped platted lots more than 25 feet from a public sidewalk or street open to the public and from a neighboring lot line.”
(e) Section 304.14. Insert: “During the period from April 15th to November 15th, every door, window and other outside opening required for ventilation of habitable rooms, food preparation areas, food service areas or any areas where products to be included or utilized in food for human consumption are processed, manufactured, packaged or stored shall be supplied with approved tightly fitting screens of minimum 16 mesh per inch (16 mesh per 25 mm), and every screen door used for insect control shall have a self-closing device in good working order.”
(f) Section 602.3. Insert: “...shall supply heat during the period from November 15 to April 15...”
(g) Section 602.4. Insert: “...shall be supplied with heat during the period from November 15 to April 15...”
