It shall be unlawful for any person to transport or to have in possession in or upon any vehicle a firearm unless the same is unloaded in both barrel and magazine and carried in the luggage compartment of the vehicle, or luggage or storage area; if there is no such luggage compartment in the vehicle, it shall further be necessary that such firearm be placed inside of a protective case; and it shall further be necessary that any bullets or other projectiles designed for use in such firearms shall be at all times contained in a separate container in the luggage compartment of the vehicle, or luggage or storage area if there is no such luggage compartment in the vehicle.
