The council shall furnish and continue suitable quarters and places for a municipal courtroom or courtrooms and shall provide for all necessary expenses in connection with the establishment and maintenance of the municipal court of said city, and shall furnish the necessary furniture, fixtures, dockets, legal reference books, stationery for use in the business of the court and a law library containing[,] but not limited to, the Michigan Reports, the Statutes of the State of Michigan, and such other law books as may be requested by the municipal judges and approved by the council.
