Upon application on such form as may be required by the City Council, the City Council may authorize taxicab stands on or along any public street or space in the city to any taxicab licensee, provided the application shall be approved by the Chief of Police and such licensee shall pay to the City Treasurer the sum designated by Council resolution for a vehicle space for the use of such. However, the termination of the taxicab license for any reason, except if such license be renewed, shall terminate the right to use such space.
