For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
BUSINESS DAY. A 24 hour period of time commencing at the opening of the cabaret or club cabaret for business on a given calendar day.
CABARET. Any place wherein food and/or any type of alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages are sold or given or given away on the premises and the establishment utilizes or features topless dancers, strippers, male or female impersonators or similar entertainers and the operator thereof holds a yearly license from the state to sell such beverages by the glass, and where the patrons are provided with entertainment or space for dancing.
CLUB CABARET. An association of persons over the age of 18 years, organized as a non-profit corporation, which shall have a listed membership with regular fees for joining or annual dues. Such corporation shall be licensed by the Michigan Liquor Control Commission under the appropriate rules and regulations and shall comply with all appropriate laws and statutes of the city, county and state,
OPERATOR. Any person licensed by the State Liquor Control Commission, or such person's agent or employee, operating any cabaret or club cabaret.
PERFORMER. Any topless dancer, stripper, male or female impersonator or similar entertainer.
PERSON. Any person, co-partnership, firm, corporation, society, club, association or organization which engages in, sponsors, or conducts the operation of any cabaret or club cabaret, or a performer in any such cabaret or club cabaret.
