§ 118.05  LICENSE TO OPERATE REQUIRED.
   No person shall operate a rooming house unless he holds a valid rooming house license issued by the City Clerk in the name of the operator and for the specific dwelling or dwelling unit. The operator shall apply annually to the City Clerk for such license which shall be issued by the Clerk. Upon compliance by the operator with the applicable provisions of this chapter and of any rules and regulations adopted pursuant thereto. A copy of a current rate schedule is required to be provided at the time of application. This rate schedule must be maintained current at all times. Such license shall be issued only if a Certificate of Occupancy (or approved point of sale inspection whichever language is adopted) and a Certificate of Compliance are current with the Building Department. The City Council may, by resolution, establish a licensing fee to be paid by the operator at the time of application.
