The Planning Commission shall consist of nine members, one whom shall be the mayor, one of whom shall be one of the administrative officials of the city to be selected by the Mayor subject to approval by a majority vote of the members elect of the City Council, and one of whom shall be a member of the Council selected by a majority vote of the members elect of the Council as members ex officio and six members who shall be appointed by the Mayor subject to the approval by a majority vote of the members elect of the Council as is herein provided.
