§ 32.12 SUSTAINABILITY COMMISSION; ESTABLISHMENT AND DUTIES.
   (A)   Establishment. There is hereby established the Sustainability Commission.
   (B)   Jurisdiction. The Sustainability Commission shall perform the following functions:
      (1)   Advise, assist and make recommendations to the City Council on matters related to sustainability.
      (2)   Develop and recommend for adoption by the City Council a Sustainability Plan that identifies and brings together the city's current sustainability efforts, sets specific goals and includes a long range vision that addresses and promotes sustainability through water and energy efficiency and conservation, renewable resources, climate change strategies, waste management and recycling, and community education.
      (3)   Facilitate public outreach, education and collaboration with the community with regards to sustainability.
      (4)   Perform such other functions as directed by the City Council.
      (5)   Establish its own rules and procedures not inconsistent with the intent of this chapter or any other ordinances or laws of the city or state.
