(A) Every attempt shall be made to mount a small cell facility to an existing structure, such as a communications tower, existing wood utility pole, or existing wireless support structure located within the public way.
(B) If an existing structure is not available, a small cell facility shall be located within the public way of a principal or secondary street as defined in Chapter 154. Small cell facilities shall not be located in the public way of any minor street.
(C) In accordance with R.C. Chapter 4939, the city shall reserve the right to propose an alternate location to the proposed location of a new wireless support structure, provided the alternate location is within 100 feet of the proposed wireless support structure.
(D) Existing or proposed wireless support structures shall be located on the property line between two parcels, to the extent reasonably practicable.
(E) No small cell facility may be located within 2,000 linear feet from another small cell facility or cellular or wireless communication tower or wireless support structure, unless such facility is co-located as defined in this chapter.
(F) No placement of any small cell facility or wireless support structure shall necessitate tree trimming, cause removal of, or otherwise damage any tree or vegetation located within the city's public way; and no such small cell facility or wireless support structure shall not be located within the eventual mature dripline or tree crown of any existing tree located within the city's public way, unless otherwise approved by the City Manager.
(G) Historic or architecturally significant structures. Any new small cell facility or wireless support structure should not be placed directly in front of any historic or architecturally significant structures, unless no other location is available.
(H) Setbacks for visibility and access. Any new small cell facility or wireless support structure and other improvements associated with a new small cell facility or wireless support structure or an existing small cell facility or wireless support structure must be setback from intersections, travel lanes, and driveways and placed in locations where it will not obstruct motorist's sightlines or pedestrian access.
(I) Obstructions. Any new small cell facility or wireless support structure and other improvements associated with a new small cell facility or wireless support structure or an existing small cell facility or wireless support structure shall not obstruct any:
(1) Worker access to any above-ground or underground infrastructure for traffic control or public way improvements;
(2) Access to above ground or underground infrastructure owned or operated by any public or private utility agency; or
(3) Fire hydrant access.
