For the purpose of this chapter, the following definition shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
GARAGE SALE. Any offering for sale of personal property which involves the display of the personal property to the general public. The offering for sale of a single item only, such as an automobile or a boat, shall not be considered a GARAGE SALE. Any sales which are conducted as part of a permanent commercial enterprise on commercially-zoned property shall not be considered to be garage sales covered by this chapter. The term GARAGE SALE shall include the sales commonly known as yard sales, porch sales, rummage sales, flea markets, lawn sales, or any like sales.
