(A) A kennel license shall be required for owners of four up to nine dogs. Upon request to and approval by the city, a kennel license shall be obtained from the Lapeer County Animal Shelter in accordance with all applicable state regulations. All owners requiring a kennel license shall be subject to a local inspection and fee schedule as established by resolution of the City Commission and amended from time to time as may be necessary.
(B) For owners of ten or more dogs, in addition to the restrictions of division (A), it shall be a requirement that a minimum lot size of one acre be provided.
