(A) All service pipes from the mains to the premises served shall be installed by, and at the cost of the owner of the property to be served or the applicant for the service. Such installation shall be under the inspection of the Superintendent of Public Works. The curb stop and box shall be located between the curb line and the sidewalk line and be provided with suitable service box at the time of installation.
(B) Service pipes laid from the water main to and including the curb stop shall from then on be maintained at the expense of the city. Service pipes laid from the curb stop to the premises served shall be maintained at the expense of the owner.
(C) All pipes underground shall be copper and of a type and size approved by the Superintendent of the Public Works Department. All new water mains served by the city shall be a minimum eight inch diameter.
