(A) The Chief of Police may designate a security officer or officers to be present at a public dance during the entire time the dance is underway.
(B) For the purpose of this section, the following definition shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
SECURITY OFFICER. Any person who is a full-time or part-time peace officer, a reserve officer or a community service officer employed by the city.
(C) The total costs of any security provided by the city must be paid by the applicant, and the city may require an advanced deposit or a corporate surety bond guaranteeing payment. Security officers designated by the city shall have full authority to bar disruptive persons from the premises and to otherwise engage in necessary policing activities including any activity necessary to preserve the peace.
