(A) Position created. The position of Finance Officer is hereby created.
(B) Delegation of duties. All of the bookkeeping duties of the City Administrator are hereby delegated to the Finance Officer. The Finance Officer shall be the Deputy City Clerk and perform all of the statutory duties of the City Clerk during the absence of the City Administrator.
(C) Bond. The Finance Officer shall furnish a fidelity bond conditioned on the faithful exercise of his or her duties. In lieu of this individual bond, the Council may provide for a blanket bond, furnished by a surety company authorized to transact business in the state, and covering the position and duties of the Finance Officer. Premiums on either of these bonds shall be paid from city funds.
