No person shall start or maintain an open fire in a park, except in an area specifically designated for such use. Cooking fires made by picnic parties in the park are acceptable, but only in freestanding gas or charcoal barbecue grills. It is also unlawful to leave an area designated for an open fire or a freestanding grill before the fire is completely extinguished.
