There shall be provided for each 1,000 square feet of habitable area a portable fire extinguisher in accordance with Uniform Fire Code Standard 10-1 (refer to Appendix A). The minimum acceptable size is 1A-10B:C. These extinguishers shall be installed in an easily accessible place. At least one such extinguisher shall be installed in the general area of the kitchen.
